Subminiature Triode Tube
Triode tube question about pins?

Alright, so I have some subminiature triode tubes that I am going to be building something with soon, and the tubes have 8 pins. However, several of these pins have identical connections (IE. 2 plate pins, 2 grid pins etc). Is it alright if I twist together the identical pins (not the heaters though, obviously) to save space and keep their connections un-cluttered? Also note, these are SINGLE triode tubes, the duplicated pins connect to the same part of the tube. These do not contain two triodes like a 12ax7 or similar. This might sound like a stupid question, but im new to tubes so im just making sure.
Also, is there any special reason for the "no connection" pin? If it doesnt connect to anything, why is it there?
The reason I ask is because otherwise the duplicate pins will just sit around without being connected to anything, which seems just as pointless as them being there in the first place.

It seems you need to know a little bit about tubes for starters:
The main reason that the connections are as such for your particular
tube and other tubes similarly is for considering distributed capacitance reasons. The
connections were established to avoid this. The pins, when wired this way, will allow the users to wire the tube up with minimal parasitic oscillations with the resultant circuit by way of the convenient pins wired as such. Hence the reason for the tubes particular wiring. As far as the extra no connection pin: just ignore it, I mean like why sweat it?
