Hi
I recently bought a Marshall MG100HDFX Amp Head. I dont want any fuss over the amp itself on here or any complaints that other amps can get me better tones or that i should have bought a tube amp.
My question is, I have the head but not the cabs, but i am eagerly wanting to test the head. One thing im wondering is. The amp has an "Emulated Line Out" socket on the front face. This is the same size as an input jack, but is mainly used for headphones etc. I am wondering if it is safe to run a lead from this emulated line out , to my old combo amps guitar input and run it through that on clean on the old amp?
Will it damage anything?
Is it safe?
Thanks
(I asked in a different section and was told i would get a better response if i posted here)
Anytime you connect an amp head to a speaker cabinet or other electronic device such as a computer interface device or a mixer or other device, you need to match up the specifications of the sending device with the receiving device. So, that information is always found in the Owner's Handbook or user's guide or specifications sheet or whatever. Here is a link to the Owner's manual for that Amp Head. You will need to check the owner's manual of the speakers you intend to connect with to insure that no damage will be caused to the speakers.
