National Transistor Radio
It would help for more info as most of the "Boat anchor" websites don't list this radio (Boat anchors are what heavy radio equipment from the 50s and 60s is sometimes lovingly called) But most radios used a magic lamp aka magic eye in the case of RCA that basically told you when a station was tuned in by the intensity of a light tube. Some very cheap radios do this with a led now, but most use PLL (Phase lock loop) that make tuning the station in , a thing of the past as the station is automatically locked in by the radio. I love the old nostalgic radio if playing a old show too , however unless restored, they become nothing but a pile of junk usually due to the parts drying out and shorting
