Stereo Player Workin

Stereo Player Workin no sound on car stereo...? so i have a 98 dogde.. i had a stereo hooked up and it was workin fine... the same day i got into my car turned it on and the power on the cd player... everything seemed fine but no sound i tryed everything to find out the problem... even took the stereo back out and checked the specker connections... still no sound... what may be the problem here?? There are two power inputs. Switched power (red wire) and constant power (yellow wire) check yellow wire for power.. If there is no power on this wire internal amplifier will not work. Therefore no sound..
