Some urban legends told about the Raster effects, Shadow & Highlight colours. 512 colour values + 512 Shadow + 512 Highlight! (Sure someone would need to manually count and exclude redundant values from the list)
Anyway, the Shadow or Highlight could double the number of colours from the normal palettes . Twice the amount of colour on screen something like 100-120 colour per game would be possible even more using a split palette in the middle of the screen.
